D500

Postby Paillade15 » Wed Nov 01, 2017 6:55 am

Hello everyone
I would like to know if there is a firmware for nikon d500 multilingual?
I am French and I have unfortunately only the English and Chinese language. There is a lot of sale of d500 on the net with this famous multilanguage despite the origin of the apparatus of the Chinese archeology so I conclude that it exists.
Thank you in advance for your answers

It one single firmware for the world, there is a flag set in the eeprom that limits the camera language.

what we do, if ether make a patch for a single version of the firmware making it ignore the flag and thus being multi lingual. But if you change firmware, you go back...

Or we make a tool to write new values to the system eeprom, I was working on this a few years back, but didn't have access to enough good/bad units of each type to know I was writing the correct bit, so the work died on the vine..
