Firmware dump and loading (and unbricking)

What is the state of work on dumping firmware directly from the camera?
And has there been any attempt to make hacked firmware dynamically load on start up like on Canons?

it was easier on the new FR chips, as it had the API and linear memory layout, the newer ARM chips have the API, but the memory is not linear, and I'm not sure it lets you read it all..

This was about the only thing I was ever trying todo.. I had no luck, not saying it's not doable, I just couldn't find hooks.. would be delighted as it's a major key to rapid and safe exploring.

First of all thank you for your hard work hacking the Nikon.
But perhaps it's time to challenge others into hacking the Nikon system.
We can incentivize other hackers with some nice bounty?
A fat cash reward (crowdfunded) will certainly motivate people.

PS. This site is really slow, my browser keeps timing out.
