Promotion - Nature Time Lapse

Postby astronomer » Mon Mar 31, 2014 9:24 pm

It's been a really long time since I joined this forum. Since I really could not do assembly programming, I could only help gather data and provide thoughts. But I do think it's time to put some work on this board and this website. Not only to promote my work, but also as an example of what your devotion into time lapse photography could brought you as well as what your camera is capable of. It's also the quest for more work to be done with the Nikon Hacker project, to enhance the functionality such as cordless long exposure control, exposure transition ratcheting...

This video was taken during a 3 year span when I was in China, UK and USA. A lot of national parks... Advise full screen, sounds up and dim lights. Hope you like it. ;)

Nice locations and scenes caught in those.
I had a go with my D5100 a while back and was rather pleased at how it worked despite only being a short experiment.
There is certainly great potential with that camera even in its factory state.
The sun has been appearing here again in Sweden so I will try and get out on my nearby hilltop and do another.
It faces west and overlooks the area I live in. The sun disappears behind the hill across the other side of town.
