You guys should stop bickering! This isn't the relevant thread for arguments. Now is there any progress on the compression algorithm? What benefits would it bring to our cameras?

Re: EDIT: Coderat's "team" status

Hello, I'm not a developer, So take my opinion with a grain of salt. But I look forward to this project, I'm a painter working in Canada. This project means a lot to me, it's exciting to think that the d5100 could be amazing. I use this camera for absolutely everything related to my art, Documenting, visualizing, field work, i's an invaluable tool, on top of that I like to shoot the odd bit of video work. Honestly it really pisses my off the way Nikon treats their budget customers and this project could be really really good. It also really pisses me off the way you coderat treat everybody, I mean it must be fun. The time you spend thinking up new bullshit. Picking the most idiotic shit to say " I see only you playing with users expectations" I mean come on, You were such an ass to SO So MANY people, new people especially, call them USERS, myself included. So coderat, I see you like I see my camera, an invaluable tool, that's it, I really respect your Skill, but you're attitude is just so poor. It's too bad you forgot what solidified the project in the beginning, improving the d5100 jackass.

Collaborative efforts with talented people is like herding cats...you can do it with some success for a while, but eventually the effort outpaces the rewards. It's not a matter of who's right and who's wrong. Look at the results you have at this point. Impressive to say the least! If you go no further, it was a victory for all. If it goes on, all the better! We are all richer for the efforts of NikonHacker and I salute you, one and all!
