Little frustrated

Postby engardeknave » Fri Jun 27, 2014 1:31 am

I can't find any basic information about this project. Am I blind? I don't even know what the status of this hack is and for what cameras. Randomly clicking threads it seems it's only for video and battery stuff on the D5100/D3200/D800--I haven't seen anything about the D600/610 or stuff for still photography. If someone could explain to me what's going on or link me to something that does, I'd appreciate it.

I saw what appeared to be assembly code in one thread. What I'm getting from this is that this project is basically in its bronze age. Is this a fair assessment?

I'm going through some serious, serious Magic Lantern withdrawal since I switched to Nikon. Already getting better photos since moving from a 5D2 to a D610, but still. No advanced bracketing. No zoom on half-shutter. No raw histograms. I don't even. womancrying.jpg

Still, all things considered i can kind of see what he is saying here. I think it would be good if one day we could have something akin to magic lantern for nikon. ;) Out of curiosity, could a donation help add more people to the team? I think users would simply like to see more usability enhancements. For example, there is already aperture control in live view for other cameras. Why not the d600?

Then what about a road map? This would give people something look forward too and keep them appraised of upcoming addictions. Imho, the project does kind of lack.. I dont know direction? at the moment. And i think that is why the op might be frustrated.
