D800 patched for 1080 60fps but how to select?

Postby Aquilasfx » Tue May 02, 2017 2:19 pm

I patched my D800 1.10 firmware with your tool, selecting:
◦Video 1080 HQ 64mbps, NQ 36mbps

but in video quality mode I can only select original frame rates:
- 1080 @ 30fps
- 1080 @ 25fps
- 1080 @ 24fps

What is the problem? :S

The patch is for higher quality within the same frame rate.
The normal quality and HQ quality have been significantly increased, giving more detail per square inch of the existing perimeters in still and video.
It looks like it is saying 64 frames per second, but it isn't. It is saying 64 megabytes of detail per second for the same frame rate.

I have not seen anything yet that added a different frame rate yet, as far as patches go, but the higher amount of detail per second leads to better looking pictures and video.

You will need an SD card capable of keeping up with the new write speed, and it will have to be able to actually write at about 90mbps.
Some label their SD products with 90 mbps on them, but they are referring to their read speed, not their write speed.
Get one with an adequate write speed or your card will interfere with your new ability to get better video and stills.

Sorry about the Frames per second.
However, I thought the D800 had that feature already (60 Fps).
