I was wanting to patch my D5200 as well (US made).

Seems to be working just fine for me.
I could not find a US site with archived Nikon firmware but I did find THIS over at nikon europe.
I applied the '3 hour live view timeout' patch to that file and used it to rollback my c1.03 to c1.02 (patched) on my US D5200.
Just passed the 35 minute mark with Custom Settings Menu/Auto Off Timers/Live View/Custom set and applied to 15 minutes.
Live view is still on and my Atomos is still recording, so I'm chalking this up as a success.

It would be great if a patch for the latest D5200 firmware was available and if 29mbps with playback was added to it.
I have a D5100 and a D5200 to produce video and having 29mbps with playback on both would be exactly what I need (and I'm certain most of the D200 users want that option too) :)

NIKON D5200 -Time Limit

Postby polgas808 » Thu Mar 24, 2016 12:54 pm

I have a Nikon D5200, which I feel is a really good camera. However when I try to take videos it timeouts at 30 Minutes. Have made multiple attempts in trying to get around this. I really need assistance from this forum in order to get this solved. Any assistance on this matter would be highly appreciated.

Hi, i think the limit is 20mins. No longer videos can be taken cause the camera overheats. As I know this is not adjustable..

It is not currently possible to bypass the video recording time limit on the D5200.

This is not true, you can record back to back video just fine, and the camera will turn off if it gets too hot, at anytime, just like your smart phone will..

Will there be hack that allows rangefinder on manual lens that doesn't have contacts/chip?
The reason i ask is that there is rangefinder on ALL lens in any mode except M. But on all other modes except M camera will show "no lens attached" error so no pictures.

And does anybody have old nikon firmwares for d5200?
