I am sorry, I am a newcomer, is this only for video hacks?
I would love a hack to create a bigger buffer to the 750, not much, just up to , say 20 - 25 frames of RAW

The only way to improve the buffer, is to improve the buffer drain rate, as the memory is fixed. I'm not sure the drain rate is that improvable, with the knowledge we have of the system.

The first topics in the "firmware" section are always the latest patches. So you check them out and they take you here :

Scroll down to see if your camera is supported, which it is, however all of the features may not be available as this particular camera contains a new chipset and the majority of the development has taken place on the old chipset. So you're going to be very limited.

but once you find your camera look at the number to the right, which corresponds to the firmware which you will need to apply the hack. Load that up in the tool and click the boxes on the features you want. Then you save the patched firmware and load it into your camera. Again your features will be very limited.

The only thing i really want (and sometimes baly need) is the "focus trap" for ALL lenses... especially older manual lenses, aswell as lenses with chip (like the Rokinon 85mm 1.4). I want my D750 to just release the damn shutter if theres something in focus on my selected focus point. Only if i switch to release priority i want it to fire right away. I dont know much about programming, but i guess ist a very simple string in the command lines of the firmware thats preventing the camera to forfill my whish. As long as the focus confirmation indicator lights up in the viewfinder, that have to be possible.

or am i wrong?
