HI everybody,

Your work is great and I go 720p live view on my D7000. May I know if 1080i/p can be done too?

Thanks!

Has anyone figured out a way of recording 1080p @ 25fps on a D7000? I've been looking all over the place for a way to do this but there doesn't seem to be one.

I have a d7000 and i would really appreciate the ability to take more than 3 bracketed shots for hdr.

Just installed the hack on my D7000, however in live view there is no info screen or controls to adjust. I only see my video frame, not even the recording button shows when recording even though it does record. Is this supposed to happen or did i screw something up? No biggy if thats normal as I can still change controls through the viewfinder but just wondering. 64 mbps does look great tho and next is raw video!

I am attempting to use the firmware patching tool, however it is not recognizing my D7000_0105.bin file.
Has the patching tool been upgraded to manage this firmware version? I've tried to find it in the forums but I have yet to discover any info about this.

Thank you for your time.

hacking D7000to get clean HDMI

Postby doubledark » Wed Feb 03, 2016 8:40 pm

Hi all
I'm new here; please be gentle.

I've been using Nikon for 27 odd yrs and need some help to get clean HDMI out so I can use an external video recorder.

I updated the Nikon firmware last night from Nikon's site.

Could anyone please help guide me thru the process of hacking so I can enable clean HDMI out.

Thanks in advance

I installed the hack and I cannot get a clean HDMI output.

So, either I've done something wrong or the hack doesn't work.

But without any help from the forum, I can't resolve this issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Forget it. This forum is dead. When I finally got a D5500 firmware upgrade last week I thought I would finally be able to hack myself to 64 bit heaven. I've since found out it could take months, or never, for the patch to be updated. Evidently this isn't Simeon's pet project anymore.

"Forget it. This forum is dead"
it seems that way. I've had enough of Nikon; they just don't see the changing world. Stuck in their "we are a camera company" mentality.

So many other great options out there, time to move on.

Thanks Duke_Sweden for your reply.
