I upgraded my Nikon D3300 firmware to the Alpha 1.02 a few weeks ago without any issues and would like to thank the firmware creator.

My reason for the update was mainly for video quality and it certainly improved after this update. I noticed an increase in data rate which seemed to depend on what was being shot. As you may expect after the update the video recording time will differ to what is being displayed on the countdown timer (ie it may stop before the ten minute or twenty minutes are reached). I think this may be something to do with the size of the video file generated. Therefore anyone recording without looking at the monitor will have to allow for this and check that it's still recording every so often.

If the firmware creator or anyone would like me to test the firmware on specific settings, please let me know by reply.

Thanks again to the creator of this new firmware for the D3300.
