1.04 is the most recent version from NIkon for the D3200. And that update was rather a surprise to us D3200 owners but that patch fixed the writing to SD card bug that sometimes happened and errors that indicated the SD card was bad and couldn't be used. The 1.04 update didn't do anything else if I'm not mistaken.

Unfortunately, the most current version of firmware that can be patched is 1.03. That means the Nikonhacker people would need to create a version for the 1.04 to be patched. Now, If I am right, I seem to recall that the Nikonhacker people do not actually have a D3200 to perform development tasks on and that's why you see some cameras having a lot of updates and some not very many. So I'm uncertain if that is the roadblock or they're just working on other developments.

But if you want the Nikonhacker features you would have to install the v1.03 firmware to the camera and do the Nikonhacker patching. I've done this, it works fine and the higher bitrate video does provide some enhancement. The problem with writing to the SD card only seems to crop up under certain conditions.

Here are two videos I did using the 64MBPS 1080 mode:

Simeon wrote:I have just pushed version 1.20.6 of the online patch tool

It includes:
D5100 v1.02 - Fixed 'HDMI Output 1080i FullScreen' - now the crop is centered
D5200 v1.02 - Added 'Liveview No Timeout' - Beta

Why is that I cannot download the patch ?
When I go to the next page, I Install the silverlight thing but then nothing happen, I cannot see the link.

Any idea on how to download it?

Thanks a lot guys

He intentado de todo para descargar Patch, pero silverlight aparece como no instalado, Desinstale, instale al menos 10 veces, deshabilité powerpc en terminal y nada, existen otras opciones para descargar el Patch?

I have problem downloading this patch 1.20.6 because of silverlight issue. I installed silverlight at least 5 times, but could see the files to download. Can someone just upload the file in a zip and uploaded as an attachment??? Thanks in advance!

Hi! I'm new here! :)
I'm here to ask, before installing the patch on my d7000, what exactly is the astro panel. What are the features? And more important, from what i understood, whit this hack i can choose really slow shutter speeds under 1/30 in Live View? Thats important for me as i mainly take nightime/milkyway/astro photos. If not, how can i lower the exposure under 1/30? Is there any hack? Thank you!

Edit:

Just patched and can't see any difference, changes are not applied. I'm opening a new thread for this

Silverlight thing does not work for me either, tried on two computers, reinstalled both 32bit or 64bit versions, rebooted number of times, tried Edge, Firefox 54, Opera, nope...
Can anyone upload patched D800 firmware, I'm interested in removing video time limits. Thanks.
