I found the problem in (LiveView autofocus) is happens in original and patched no mater what you use!
The problem is shutter speed if shutter speed is below 1/50 you lose autofocus (When bush the button the screen go to black color and don't wont to focus because all is black)! If shutter speed is more than 1/50 all is ok.

This is for information of users!

p.s. For me this is not problem because when shoot video I don't go bellow 1/50 :)

I installed the patch (Video 1080 HQ 54mbps Bit-rate to make NQ the old HQ) to my D600 and I can confirm that it now records in 54Mbps, the recording times are shorter, about 9:30 mins for 54mbps, can't say that this is a problem unless you are shooting a live performance.

The first videos I have taken (1080p 24fps) don't show any image quality change, towards better or worse, but I will make a few more test videos to be sure, the video is still recorded in YUV 4:2:0. the link below (available for 7 days) is for 4 videos so you can also check if you can find any difference, they are shot with a Nikkor 50mm 1.8 at f/8, 1/200 if I remember correctly, but for sure all have the same aperture, shutter and focus anyway, 2 with the OEM firmware and 2 with the patch. You can check the red house at the center for quality comparison, FYI when I zoom to that house in Lv I can clearly see the roof tiles, I have also tried to add more exposure in Premiere to check how well each file handles the dark parts at the sides and I can't see any difference in dynamic range either.

The best chance for true quality upgrade would be to change the recording to YUV 4:2:2 8-bit (Hi422P profile), even with that means the recording time would drop to 5-7 mins, which is still enough for feature film shots. And maybe find a way to change the way video is camptures in DX crop mode (the video is captured in 720p and up-scaled to 1080p).

Hope you know that no need to flash OEM firmware for comparisation. Once patched just go to menu and change "video quality" to "normal" to record with lower bitrate and ~20min.

Yeah but that depends on the option selected on the patcher, with original firmware I could record ~12Mbps (Normal) and ~24Mbps (High), and with the option I selected in the patcher ~24Mbps (Normal) and ~54Mbps (High), right?
