CoolPix Question

Postby Arses » Fri Jun 22, 2012 9:15 am

Hi
I did not know where should post my question.

I have an essential question.
Is it possible to dump coolpix l120 firmware and add Manual Shutter Speed ability to it.

Thanks for guiding me.

I've reviewed the CoolPix firmware before, it is not the same, and therefore would need it's own effort. So from a "quick wins" angle, there is none.

Has there been any development since that time? Any at all? I'd even be interested if someone had success with successfully flashing the firmware with that from another related model.

You see, I have an L105, and Nikon just didn't choose to support that long enough to roll out another update like they did for the L100/L110/L120. I'd love even the standard improvements offered in those, if not manual shutter speed or other features found in open-source firmware.

Even if another online Nikon community is looking into it, I'd love to be pointed that way. Thanks :)
