PTP / IP Software

Does anybody know if there is some kind of open source PTP/IP bridge software, so I could attach a
wireless "accesspoint" with OpenWRT to the camera and use a remote computer to connect to it (like with gphoto, but maybe the Nikon Software as well)?

I already looked at it after finding it in openwrt, but this does not really help as its just the extension and
also seem to only make real sense if the receiving site is also a linux box.

It would be much cooler to have a proper ptp-ip bridge, so you could possibly use the Nikon Camera Control software
without having to invest a lot of money in the original nikon wlan hardware

I've seen libptpip.so library. (joefitz slide #34)
It would be nice there is a CIPA DC-005-2005 version of libptpip.dll as well.

There is a client version also for Windows.
So, on OpenWRT based router install USB/IP server, connect your camera and on Windows machine install drivers and run a USB/IP client.

I do not say its bad, but I still say that I would prefer to have a ptp/ip brige. I am also looking into the wu-1b which might be an option as well.

Ah, cool, thank you for sharing the link to this document. Would be interesting what other deeper technical
documentation might exists besides the whitepaper.

If I see it right, the libptpip.so is to access the camera via ip, what I search for is more the opposite,
access the cam via usb and bridge it to ptp-ip. Not sure if the library / its knowledge could be used
to archive it. I had asked the gphoto developer if he knows if there is a bridge software but he is not
aware of it.
