For D7000, ability to assign AF-ON to either the Preview or Fn buttons (currently only able to assign the to AE-L/AF-L button). This would make AF-ON focus technique easier, especially for those of us who are left-eye-dominant (which makes pressing AE-L/AF-L button difficult).

D5100 (and D7000 I think) : remove Nikon battery genuine system, in order to be able to use noname battery ...
On D5100 : add remote flash control system (like on D7000 and higher categories).

Hello! I've just found this site and I would like to ask for a live histogram and extra low ISO (50, 60, 80) the Pentax K-5 can shoot at ISO 80, witch means it can have a better dinamic range and color depth.
And a harder (if not impossible) the ability to have exposure metering and focus confirmation with any lens, I often put my D5100 in a telescope and only can use it on manual, it would be great to use it on aperture priority, set the aperture and let the camera exposure automatically.. I think you can do this with high end models, but as I've never seen this i'm not sure..

5+ exposure bracketing, the D7000 is limited to 3.

Only 5???? I want, at least, 11, with steps until 3 EV, not only 2 EV.

Fast bracketing and fast burst. Mirror up, make all pictures, and then, mirror down.

Exposure time limited modified. 30 seconds is too short. I want 1 hour, or more, for astronomers.

Remove all trash. Save memory for code. No auto mode. Only A, V and M. Use the others positions to Custom modes.

Time lapse.

Better numbering. The count down does not reset, using shutter count to name the pictures. Long names, not limited to 8.3. So, the picture can have a camera name, selected by user, and picture counter. Example: D90_01_0047550.JPEG, meaning Camera D90, camera 01 (some people have more then one) and photo 47550.

A time synchronization between cameras. Example: Set time um 3 cameras, with stopped clock, with equal time, but the clock isn't running, and all cameras clocks are started with a flash, or remote control. It is important for group of photographers making a wedding, photographing a competition...

Add 16:9 crop on the display for video. The D5100 only applies a 16:9 crop on the display once recording is activated, so you have to frame the shot in 3:2 and guess where the top and bottom of the frame is.
